Intentional Interim Specialist Certification February 24-26, 2011

Agape MCC, Ft. Worth Texas

The successful growth and development of our churches depends on a foundation of effective leadership strategies laid during times of transition. Key strategies include: the ability to block and eliminate unhealthy attitudes and behaviors in our churches; the establishment and support of healthy relational behaviors and decision making; the education of congregations in the development of healthy practices around change, conflict management, and communication. That is the ministry of the Intentional Interim Specialist.

The three day Intentional Interim Specialist (IIS) Certification will provide training for MCC Intentional Ministry that includes

· An in depth look at the process and developmental tasks of intentional interim ministry, examining their purpose and providing a variety of specific tools, activities and resources that can be used by the intentional interim to facilitate the congregation in the accomplishment of the work.

· The role of the change cycle, the dynamics of size transition, conflict management, and methods of communication.

The training will begin at Agape MCC, Ft. Worth, Texas, at 1 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 and conclude at 1 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2011

Registration for the program is $150.This includes three meals on Friday and breakfast on Saturday morning, assessment tools and other materials.

There are several motels near the church. If we reserve a block of 7 rooms at the Super 8 we will get a special rate of $52.99 for singles and $57.99 for doubles. Successful completion of this 3 day institute will provide attendee with the 9 CEU credits required for MCC Clergy Licensure.
