The Office of Formation and Leadership Development offers a variety of educational opportunities for clergy and laity in online and webinar formats. We also certify for credit and continuing educations webinars and courses offered through other educational institutions.Updates are provided to this page as new education opportunities become available.

Continuing Education
MCC Clergy are required to complete 9 hours of continuing education. One contact hour = one CEU.
The OFLD also offers in partnership with Sunshine Cathedral a weekly lectionary webinar every Tuesday at noon Eastern Time (GMT -4 March-October, -5 November-February) that is certified for CEU credit. Click here to log on to the webinar and receive additional call in information.
We also have a few suggestions for alternative ways to meet your CEU requirements, including the following:

MCC Network Gatherings (many of the workshops at various network gatherings have been pre-approved by the OFLD to serve as CEUs). The Weekly Lectionary Webinar hosted by the OFLD and Sunshine Cathedral in Ft. Lauderdale. (Tuesdays at 12 pm ET). Please note that the OFLD will be awarding the CEU certificates for webinar attendance at the end of the year. Conferences hosted by allied organizations, such as HRC’s Clergy Call for Justice or NGLTF’s Creating Change. Annual Meetings/Conferences of the Association of Professional Chaplains, the American Academy of Religion, or the Society of Biblical Literature. Monthly teleconferences with leading theologians hosted by WATER (Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual) Educational events and workshops hosted by Alban Institute. Online E-courses from Spirituality & Practice. Many of our partner seminaries also have on-site or on-line course offerings throughout the year. |
