Young Adult Leadership Mentoring Retreat – YALMR – 10th to 13th March 2016
The 2016 YALMR program has been redesigned by a group of young adults and has been altered to allow graduates to return for deeper mentorship.
This will be the last YALMR with Rev. Elder Dr. Nancy Wilson as acting Moderator, so mark your calendar for 10-13 March 2016 at Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA. Registration is only $50!
This retreat is designed for individuals interested in serving more deeply in a local church or serving MCC beyond the local level. The faculty includes denominational leaders and staff who will provide participants with an opportunity for discernment about improving leadership skills in an MCC global context while building relationships with other young adults in leadership positions around the denomination.
The program will include leadership training, relationship building exercises, worship, and small group activities. In the small group, you will have the opportunity to discern in a clearness committee and design your own plan for improving your leadership skills, preparing for a new ministry opportunity or taking next steps on a project.
