2017 Clergy Retreat
28 February 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
2017 CLERGY RETREAT
14th to 17th August 2017
New Venue: MCC LAS VEGAS, NV
Our goal is to provide our Clergy with an innovative retreat at the least expensive cost to churches and clergy. In trying to do so in our planned location of San Diego, we couldn’t find hotels that fit this criteria. So with permission/cooperation from the Met MCC in San Diego and MCC Las Vegas, we have moved this retreat early in our planning stage to meet that goal.
The retreat will now be held at:
MCC Las Vegas, Nevada USA
1140 Almond Tree Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89104
from 14-17 August 2017.
We are NOT booking a block of rooms for this retreat nor suggesting which method of transportation you use to arrive. We encourage you to make reservations as soon as you can determine what your schedule will be, as hotels are quite inexpensive and within easy travel distance, including those in downtown Las Vegas (both on and off the Strip). Some online travel sights offer significant discounts for combining transportation and housing, and others will add car rental if you desire.
This retreat is sponsored by MCC’s Office of Church Life and Health and Office of Formation and Leadership Development. The focus will be on INNOVATIVE MINISTRY. The conference will begin with an innovative opening gathering in the late afternoon hours of Monday and end with an innovative send off in the early afternoon on Thursday. (This allows persons to only stay 3 nights in housing.)
We encourage you to consider innovative housing opportunities near the church as the meetings will be held there. Please plan to come early or stay longer if you’d like to enjoy the various innovative experiences that only Vegas offers.
This is open to all Clergy and persons “In Care/In Formation” with MCC.
Registration costs only $25 USD. Click link to register: https://www.gifttool.com/registrar/ShowEventDetails…
Additionally, attending this retreat will help you meet ALL CEUs required of clergy this year, including the designated topic of “Personal Spiritual Development.”
