Welcome to the MCC’s Thriving in Ministry Program Page!  In October 2018 MCC received a sizeable grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. to assist Pastors and Clergy to Thrive in Ministry.  MCC’s Office of Formation and Leadership and Development has been tasked to administer this grant and plans to do so by connecting Pastors through an intentional mentoring program. This grant spans five years and it is OFLD’s goal to connect with all U.S. based pastors and invite them to participate in this programming.

Pastors and clergy will be given the opportunity to apply to be either a mentor or be mentored.  The program kicks off with its first retreat, October 15-17, 2019 where the pairing of up to 20 mentors and 20 mentees will occur.  It is our goal to connect pastors with experienced mentors who can provide thoughtful guidance during transitional times in ministry. There will be regular support from the Program Manager, webinars, and a closed Facebook group to stay connected with others.

Marie Tasker is the Program Manager who will provide administrative support for the grant. Please contact her at MarieTasker@mccchurch.net with your thoughts and questions.

Below are several links to information about the program (FAQ’s) and applications to be a part of the first Mentoring retreat.  The deadline for completed applications for the first retreat is August 15, 2019.
